A single mother in the canton of Valais is struggling to survive economically and makes her three children believe that everything is just fine. To keep up appearances, she gradually gets involved in small-scale crime and gradually squanders the sympathy of the authorities. A touching comédie humaine about the poverty in rich Switzerland, which is often only recognized at second glance. The charismatic Ophélia Kolb carries the heartwarming film with an exceptional performance as the leading actress. 'A moving film about poverty in rich Switzerland. Jasmin Gordon was born in Los Angeles and holds dual citizenship from Switzerland and the USA. She studied literature and photography in the USA and France and completed her master’s degree in Documentary Film at Stanford University. Her short films, PARIS 1951 (2005) and FRAMEWORK (2018), have been shown at numerous festivals and she has received the Princess Grace Foundation Award for her work, among others.
