by Gustavo Rondón Córdova
In a poor district on the outskirts of Caracas, single father Andrés is working a number of odd jobs in order to earn a legal living while his 12-year-old son, Pedro, is learning the laws of the street. After a dispute of consequence with other youths, the two are forced to flee the district as soon as possible and find anonymity and protection in the big city. Their life in exile brings the two closer together than ever before. Disguised as a persecution thriller, Gustavo Rondón Córdova’s debut film is an urgent and moving father-son story set against the backdrop of a precarious situation in the Venezuelan capital.
