Young, female, neo-Nazi: the supermarket cashier Marisa belongs to an extreme right-wing youth group in an East German small town. She hates foreigners, Jews, politicians, the police and lashes out at the slightest provocation. But this summer things start to go wrong: her lover is locked up, her family breaks up and a new, seemingly spoilt 15-year-old girl called Svenja joins the group. When one day Marisa bumps into two asylum seekers, she finally snaps. Her reaction, however, triggers something inside her that turns her world upside down. While Svenja, angered by a nightmarish life at home, sinks ever deeper into the right-wing scene, Marisa’s image of the world begins to waver.
