“I am one of the last Mohicans here” jokes Rosa as she looks at the neighbouring houses. Rosa, Kurt and Hanni are the last of their generation to have spent half their lives on a housing estate in Leimbach, on the outskirts of Zurich. They now share the neighbourhood with families from all over the world. But the footprints for the new builds have already been marked out, and their tenancy agreements have been terminated. At the age of 90, Hanni never imagined she would have to move again, and Rosa and Kurt are also left looking for a new apartment. Accompanying the three senior citizens during their life-changing situation, director Hans Haldimann also takes a critical look at the busy building projects in Zurich where many small homes have to make room.
