During an undercover operation of Uzbek arms dealing, secret agent Carl Hamilton uncovers a network that drops several cabinet ministers into very hot water. Hamilton’s inquiries send him on the trail of a heavily armed private army with well-established contacts in the government and the secret service. At the same time, he receives information from a freed hostage about a planned terror attack on Swedish ground. His loyalty is put to the test when he is forced to choose whose side he is on. Based on a novel by Jan Guillou, Carl Hamilton is Sweden’s answer to James Bond and Jason Bourne, and this is one of the most successful Swedish films of the year.
