A majestic view of the world from above: After years as an astronaut, Matt Kowalsky is still fascinated by this breathtaking spectacle. Nevertheless, he is accompanied on this mission by a little sadness, as it is to be his last before retiring. On the other hand, this is the first time in space for engineer Dr. Ryan Stone who, together with Kowalsky, has been sent to repair the Hubble Space Telescope. A seemingly routine spacewalk turns into a disaster: The shuttle is destroyed and all contact with Houston is lost. Ryan and Matt are left floating completely alone in the endless cosmos where, as everyone knows, no one can hear you scream. Their last hope lies in using their rescue capsule to reach the International Space Station – a virtually impossible task in zero gravity.
