Ditte is the daughter of a renowned Danish family of bakers, the Rheinwalds. The successful gallery owner lives in Copenhagen. When she is offered her dream job in New York, she accepts without hesitation, and plans her relocation to the Big Apple together with her friend Peter. When her father, master baker Rikard Rheinwald, becomes dangerously ill, Ditte goes back on her plans. Not only because she worries about the well-being of her father but also because it is his wish that she puts on the family apron and takes over the business. Ditte’s life flies off the rails, especially when Peter begins to put all his energy into making her change her mind and rescuing their mutual dream.
