Rita, an academic, and Mateo, a car mechanic, love each other with a passion. Together, the two urbanites set out to build a new life for themselves on the hacienda of Mateo’s father. After furnishing the house and buying a few of chickens, the couple enjoy living in the moment: they make love several times during the day and eat spaghetti in the evening. However, their young love is soon put to the test: While Rita wants a child, Mateo thinks things are moving a bit too quickly. When Mateo’s cousin Alexis comes along, emotions begin to escalate. Jealousy, shattered illusions and lots of sex: this relationship drama by highly talented director Elisa Miller sensitively observes human behaviour from a decidedly female point of view.
