Jeremías is an extremely clever young boy. Neither his parents nor his headstrong grandma or his pubescent cousin can keep up with him. But his extra portion of brains brings with it problems of its own: the 8-year-old is an outsider, both within his family and at school. Only following an intelligence test is his brilliance made official. While his father uses the boy’s genius to try and earn money, his mother lives in fear of losing her offspring to an unscrupulous psychiatrist. But Jeremías is not easily misled by the adults around him, and undertakes to discover for himself what he wants to be when he grows up. The 8-year-old tries his hand at being a chess player, a drummer and a mathematician, but in the end all he really wants is just one thing: to be a normal child. Age rating: K8 - Minimum legal age: 6 years, recommended 8 years and over.
