Ida is shocked when she comes home and catches her husband with another, younger, woman. The lovable yet slightly chaotic hairdresser decides to head her daughter’s wedding in Italy alone. En route, she causes a car accident. The injured party is the groom’s father, Philip, a charming, widowed Englishman, and the two continue their journey to Sorrento together. It will be a romantic wedding in a wonderful villa with everything planned to precision. When Ida’s husband suddenly turns up together with his lover, however, things deteriorate. All plans are abandoned – but all’s well that ends well. Susanne Bier’s uplifting romantic comedy captivates with its outstanding acting ensemble.
