For centuries, people from all over the world have made their way through Spain to Santiago de Compostela. They are united in their search for meaning. A group of six men and women from New Zealand and Australia set out with walking sticks, backpacks and their personal fates to find a way out of their life crises via the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and the 800 kilometres from the Pyrenees to the west of Galicia. Battling against illness and pain, and grieving for lost loved ones, their physical trial turns through ups and downs into a journey of healing. The two newcomers Noel Smyth and Fergus Grady have made a simple yet cathartic film as a testimony to ordinary people on an extraordinary path.
