Beasts of the Southern Wild

Hushpuppy lives in the middle of a river on a trailer held afloat by buoys. Together with her father Wink, the confident six-year-old is part of a defiant community living a wild and free life in the Mississippi Delta. She is convinced that nature is a delicately connected web; if a small part of it goes out of control, the whole universe is in danger of collapse. And the world is in danger: Her father contracts a rare disease and all kinds of catastrophes begin: the polar caps melt and reveal huge unstoppable prehistoric creatures that make their way south. Hushpuppy must surrender herself to these dangers in the search for her mother.
