Sohee is an upbeat, young woman who loves to dance. Until the day she has to complete an internship at a call centre as part of a secondary school programme. Within a very short time, Sohee breaks under the pressure and performance demands of South Korean society and takes her own life. Detective Yoo-jin heads the subsequent investigation into Sohee's death. This takes her further emotionally than her job would allow to reveal the dark background of Sohee's death. In her skillfully staged drama ABOUT KIM SOHEE, director July Jung ventures into the abysses of the South Korean world, the implications of which reach far beyond the country's own borders.
