by Emmanuelle Bercot
Having been traded in for a younger model by her former lover, Betty, now in her late sixties, lives with her mother and runs a small Breton restaurant on the verge of bankruptcy. When she runs out of cigarettes one day, she jumps into her car. But even getting a packet of smokes on a Sunday is an almost impossible task. With every kilometre she travels and every new acquaintance she makes, Betty realises that she wants much more than just an extended cigarette break.
