Jules makes regular appearances as a drag queen on London's nightlife scene. When he is brutally beaten up by a group of homophobic hooligans after a performance, he withdraws, only daring to go out in public again after three months. While visiting a gay sauna, he bumps into Preston, the un-outed leader of his gang of attackers. Unrecognised and driven by his desire for revenge, Jules begins an affair with his tormentor that takes unexpected turns. With FEMME, the two directors Sam H. Sam H. Freeman

British director Sam H. Freeman has mainly worked as a screenwriter for television series. He collaborated on INDUSTRY as a writer and his first original series UNMASKED was sold to Disney. His short film FEMME won the award for Best British Short Film at the BAFTA Awards. The feature-length version of the film of the same name is Freeman's feature debut as a director. Ng Choon Ping

Ng Choon Ping graduated from York University and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He has won several prestigious awards for his work as a theatre director. He has worked at the National Theatre in London, the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, and the Singapore Repertory Theatre and others.
