The stars take center stage in the kitchen. With ZFF Genuss Film, the Zurich Film Festival – in collaboration with the Genuss Film Festival Zug (GFF) and the premium Alpine destination Andermatt Swiss Alps as presenting partner – will bring top chefs to the stage for the first time from September 30 to October 2, 2026, combining culinary delights with selected documentaries and feature films as well as inspiring talks to create a unique festival experience.

From September 30 to October 2, 2026, the ZFF Genuss Film events will take place at the ZFF, combining cinema and cuisine into a curated, all-encompassing experience.
Exceptional films centered on the theme of indulgence will be screened at Arena Cinemas in Sihlcity. These films range from moving documentaries to inspiring feature films. Then, the action shifts to the Papiersaal, where top chefs will create culinary delights for the palate. Together with talks and personal encounters, they will add a new dimension to the festival experience.
Tickets can be purchased for either the Genuss Package (welcome drink with caviar, film, and a 4-course dinner with wine pairings) or just for the film.
How the Genuss Package works
When two top chefs cook together, the result is not only exceptional dishes but also fascinating conversations. André Kaiser, the Culinary Director at The Chedi Andermatt and head chef at The Restaurant (14 GaultMillau points), and Niklas Oberhofer (1 star, 17 GaultMillau points, 2022) – who was named Switzerland’s youngest Michelin-starred chef in 2022 and now successfully runs his catering and event company noEVENTS as well as the pop-up Atelier 6 – will collaborate to create an evening of culinary delight. Look forward to an evening full of inspiration, extraordinary flavors, and fascinating insights into their shared passion for cooking.
The film being shown is NOOR: EATING HISTORY: The film delves into the creative universe of the restaurant Noor, where Paco Morales and Paola Gualandi reinterpret the legacy of Al-Andalus through haute cuisine. A perspective that views gastronomy as a living heritage and as an ever-evolving experience of the future.
Located at The Chedi Andermatt, The Japanese has been awarded two Michelin stars and 18 GaultMillau points. It combines the highest level of culinary artistry with Japanese sophistication. Executive Chefs Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon and their team create innovative dishes using top-quality ingredients, prepared with precision and featuring an unmistakable Japanese touch.
The film being shown is NOBU: Years before his name became a symbol of luxury and hospitality, Nobu Matsuhisa was a young man in Japan with a dream: to become a sushi chef. An intimate portrait of the legendary chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, who has redefined the global culinary scene with his Nobu empire.
Valentin Sträuli represents a young, creative generation in Swiss gastronomy. As the Executive Chef at IGNIV Andermatt, he combines the culinary style of Andreas Caminada, a three-star chef from Graubünden, with his own unique approach. Together with his team, Sträuli creates imaginative dishes that are both regional and cosmopolitan. The name IGNIV comes from the Romansh language and means «nest» – a symbol of the restaurant’s philosophy that guests should feel comfortable, welcome, and well cared for. In 2025, GaultMillau named Valentin Sträuli «Discovery of the Year» for his creative work and was promptly awarded two Michelin stars.
The film being shown is ISABEL: Isabel works as a sommelier in São Paulo’s fine-dining scene and dreams of opening her own wine bar. But taking the leap into self-employment presents her with a pivotal decision: Should she give up on her dream, or find the courage to take fate into her own hands?
