LATE SHIFT by Petra Volpe

The movie showcases Floria (Leonie Benesch), a highly skilled surgical nurse, known for her dedication and professionalism. On a fully occupied shift in her understaffed hospital ward, she responds compassionately to every patient—from a gravely ill young mother and an elderly man anxiously waiting for a diagnosis, to a private patient with demanding extra requests.

What starts as another tough late shift turns into a high-stakes race against time. The workload mounts, emergencies intensify, and every moment becomes critical. As the night unfolds, Floria’s professionalism is pushed to its limits, and the reality of the hospital’s unpredictable world becomes impossible to ignore.
