ZFF Day by Day / 11

06. October 2013

Beginning with the US documentary film about GORE VIDAL (12:30, Filmpodium), the ZFF closes today with a dazzling display of film fireworks – and offers film fans another opportunity to catch up on missed competition screenings. A total of 7 of the 12 competition films are on today’s programme.

The first cinematic treat begins at 11:00: The ZFF Masters session with Austrian Palme d’or winner Michael Haneke.

Further highlights include the Swiss premiere of the winner at Cannes LA VIE D’ADELE (17:00, Le Paris) and Lukas Modysson’s latest picture WE ARE THE BEST (18:30, corso 1). The Brazilian competition entry O LOBO ATRAS DA PORTA (17:45, corso 4), the festival hit NEIGHBOURING SOUNDS, the tragicomedy O PALHACO (17:15), the diary-like film ERA UMA VEZ EU, VERONICA and Gabriel Mascaro’s skilful study DOMESTICA are also on offer.

This evening also offers the opportunity to see one of the year’s most celebrated Spanish films CANIBAL, an entry from the competition section of our partner festival in San Sebastian. A complete list of today’s screenings can be found here.
