Fire of Love

by Sara Dosa Hashtag #MyReligion

Katia and Maurice love each other desperately – but above all they love volcanoes. When fire spews from the depths of craters and glowing lava flows, the two French geoscientists are not far away. Driven by their smouldering fascination, they collect countless rock samples and hours of video footage on their travels. Filmmaker Sara Dosa stitches together the spectacular archival footage in 4:3 format with a poetic commentary by artist Miranda July to create a loving tribute to the two rock stars of volcanology – and to the lived passion itself. An unforgettable cinematic fireworks display!
