The Killing of a Journalist
"An attack on a journalist, is an attack on us all!" After the brutal murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée, the Slovak population is shaken. The government has been entangled in a web of lies and corruption for years. Until his death in 2018, Kuciak was on the trail of mafia structures. In THE KILLING OF A JOURNALIST, journalists investigate the story behind the murder of their colleague. In the process, they come across Kuciak's files and records, which reveal the scandalous abysses and secret networks within Slovak politics. A gripping and carefully researched documentary that shows how important the independent media is for a democracy.
