Chef Andy is under stress: his luxury restaurant has just been stripped of two stars, all the tables are overbooked because of the holiday season, and his former mentor, a culinary icon, has shown up unannounced accompanied by a respected food critic. The BIFA-nominated director Philip Barantini began his career as an actor in, for example, BAND OF BROTHERS (2001). He took his first steps towards directing with his debut short film SECONDS OUT, which was followed by his debut feature film VILLAIN. Based on his short film by the same name, BOILING POINT world premiered at KVIFF 21.
