The Skeleton Twins
The twin siblings Maggie and Milo have distanced themselves spatially from each other since childhood. However, the two have one thing in common: Both have hit a crisis in their lives and both contemplate committing suicide on the same evening. Reason enough for this once inseparable duo to meet again for the first time in ten years. Maggie invites Milo to stay a while at her place. Their problems soon become clear: While Maggie feels increasingly troubled by her unhappy marriage to the kind-hearted dentist Lance, homosexual Milo attempts to find his first and never-forgotten love. When one day their egocentric mother also shows up, family chaos is almost guaranteed. Striking an impressive balance between tragic and humorous moments, THE SKELETON TWINS tells the story of the special bond between twins and the daily despair known as life.
