Linsanity

by Evan Jackson Leong Documentary Competition

“Who the fuck is Jeremy Lin?” was, until recently, the question posed both by visitors to and opponents on the court. The first ever American NBA player of Chinese-Taiwanese roots, Lin is currently one of the top-shots in American basketball. As a small boy, and encouraged by his NBA-obsessed father, Lin imitated Michael Jordan's handling of the ball and dreamed of a big career. Increasing success not only raised the pressure on court, the attention paid to this outstanding and devoutly religious sportsman soon turns against him. Lin is not drafted, he is transferred to lower leagues and totally ignored. Just when his basketball dream appears to be over, this exceptional athlete comes back with a sensational record. LINSANITY is the classic story of an underdog who, despite all obstacles, battles his way to the top and never looses sight of his goal.
