Las Buenas Intenciones / The Good Intentions

Window: San Sebastián
Buenos Aires in the early 90s: the bright yet stubborn Amanda and her siblings love spending their weekends with their father Gustavo – probably because the fun-loving record store owner often behaves like a child himself. They remain oblivious to his skipped alimony payments. When Cecilia, mother of the three children, announces that the family will move to faraway Paraguay, Amanda refuses to accept the situation and forges a plan to prevent being separated from her father. All she needs to do is to convince him. Debutante Ana García Blaya takes us to the middle of a youthful and sunny Argentina in a lovingly staged 90s style.
