“Somewhere over the rainbow...”. It is the winter of 1968. Aged show icon Judy Garland sets off to London to stage a series of sold-out concerts. Thirty turbulent years have passed since she achieved her worldwide breakthrough with THE WIZARD OF OZ. Although she is reluctant to part with her children in the United States, there is a chance for a revitalised – and financially necessary – career. Her encounter with musician Mickey turns out to be a ray of hope. However, disputes with the management, unpleasant childhood memories and utter exhaustion take their toll on the 47-year-old. Highlighting both glamour and darkness, JUDY marks the biopic of one of the most successful stage artists in history. Renée Zellweger exhibits her own singing skills in the role of Judy Garland.
