Ulysse & Mona
The ambitious art student Mona is obsessed with the works of the famous artist Ulysse Borelli. But the disillusioned mid-fifty-year-old has retired from public life a few years ago, left his family and now ekes out his existence with a Labrador and a tennis ball machine on a remote country estate. Without hesitation, Mona shows up at his door and sets out to convince him to return to art and take her on as his student. Ulysse refuses outright, but his stubborn admirer is not so easily put off. In fact, she miraculously gets him to clean up his act. ULYSSE & MONA uses unconventional humour and lots of charm to tell of encounters that enrich life in unexpected ways. Another great film from the hands of Parisian cult director Sébastien Betbeder.
