Sarah joue un loup-garou / Sarah Plays a Werewolf
17-year-old Sarah is giving her all on the stage of her high school drama class. She has found a way of expressing her innermost feelings, something she would never normally do. Slowly Sarah begins to form a friendship with impulsive Alice, who, however, soon finds other interests. Sarah misses her brother, who has recently left home, and feels choked by her claustrophobic family environment. Although she shares a passion for classical opera and drama with her father, a dark shadow lies over their relationship. Driven by her inner pain and the quest for the kind of true love that can only be found in books, Sarah sinks deeper and deeper into a dangerous misery, from which there seems to be no escape. Katharina Wyss’s nonconformist feature debut plays with the theatrical setting and uses unusual close-ups of her characters to offer a palpable view of the inner life of an outsider.
