21-year-old Claudia suffers from spina bifida, also known as "open back," and wants to explore her sexual needs. To do this, she hires Marco, who is currently taking his first course as a "love giver." The Bologna-based project of the same name was founded by professionals from psychiatry, social work and sexology to help physically disabled people discover their bodies and sexuality. The documentary BECAUSE OF MY BODY is the powerful and intimate film portrait of an incredibly open protagonist who gives us insight into her emotional and physical journey.
