ZFF and Bindella Strengthen Their Partnership

The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) and Bindella are extending their successful collaboration for the years 2026 to 2028, thereby reaffirming their long-term partnership. Bindella will remain the festival’s official wine partner.

Since 2025, the partnership has brought together the worlds of film and Italian dining culture: Bindella supplies the festival wines to the ZFF – including Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Gemella Bianco, both from its own Vallocaia estate in Tuscany – and enhances the festival experience through a variety of culinary and event formats.

Key elements of the collaboration will continue in the future. These include exclusive dinner formats in selected Bindella ristoranti, as well as special moments for guests, filmmakers and partners. Rudi Bindella says: “A rewarding partnership – I am proud that Bindella is part of it. In ZFF CEO Christian Jungen, we have found a like-minded partner with whom we share values and a passion for Italian wines and cuisine. This creates a wonderful symbiosis of (film) art and Italianità.”

Shared Values as a Foundation

The partnership is based on a strong conceptual fit: for decades, Bindella has stood for Italian lifestyle, hospitality and quality – values that also define the Zurich Film Festival. “Bindella and the ZFF are a match made in heaven: we are both deeply rooted in Zurich, bringing people together and joy to the city. We also promote optimism – Bindella with the slogan ‘la vita è bella’, and we with the motto ‘’cause life is better with movies’,” explains Christian Jungen, CEO of the ZFF. “On a personal level, too, the collaboration is a pleasure. Rudi Bindella Sr. and Rudi Bindella have become close friends of the festival, and we are already looking forward to welcoming world stars to their popular restaurants again in the future.” The combination of film, enjoyment and atmosphere makes this partnership an integral part of the festival experience.

A Long-Term Perspective 

With this three-year extension, the ZFF and Bindella are jointly signalling continuity and future development. The aim is to further expand the partnership and develop new formats together. Bindella will continue to play a key role in shaping the festival atmosphere – particularly as the official wine partner and through its restaurants in Zurich.
