NZZ will once again be main partner of the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) in 2026. With the NZZ Bar, its support for the ‘Hashtag #artificialintelligence’ film section and the gala premiere of FROM INSIDE OUT – DIE ARCHITEKTUR DES PETER ZUMTHOR, it creates a space for encounters, new perspectives and social debate – both on and off the screen.
The NZZ Bar, which is open to the public, invites visitors to meet, exchange ideas and linger on Zurich’s Sechseläutenplatz. A selection of drinks will be served, including the NZZ signature cocktail «Der Leitartikel».
As presenting partner of the hashtag #artificialintelligence film section, NZZ encourages festivalgoers to engage in an in-depth exploration of artificial intelligence. The section’s feature films and documentaries shed light on opportunities and risks, open up new perspectives and stimulate debate: Is AI a tool that enhances human capabilities, or is it increasingly competing with humans? Who bears responsibility for its development? And where are its limits?
As a gala film partner, the NZZ is also supporting the premiere of the documentary FROM INSIDE OUT – DIE ARCHITEKTUR DES PETER ZUMTHOR. This work by director Wim Wenders invites viewers to engage in a cultural exploration of the life and work of Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.
The NZZ is delighted to create a space for encounters and debates at the ZFF 2026 and to open up new perspectives – for film enthusiasts, festival guests and the people of Zurich.
