Mehmet Inan appointed as Managing Director on the executive board of the ZFF
The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) has appointed Mehmet Inan as Managing Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG as of March 2026. In this role, he will become a member of the ZFF executive management team and will be responsible for the areas of marketing, partnerships, hospitality, and events.
Inan brings many years of leadership experience in the media, marketing, and entertainment industries. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at 20 Minuten. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Axel Springer Germany, where, among other responsibilities, he worked as Chief Marketing Officer and was in charge of marketing one of the largest media portfolios in the German-speaking region. Other career milestones include roles at 3+ TV Network as well as at various national and international media and entertainment companies.
A passionate film enthusiast, Mehmet Inan has been connected with the Zurich Film Festival since its beginnings: he was involved in the very first ZFF and knows the festival from both an audience and an industry perspective. He is also closely connected to the film scene through his family—his two brothers, Kaya Inan and Cihan Inan, have already been represented at the ZFF as filmmakers.
In his new role, Inan will be responsible for the strategic development of the ZFF brand, the expansion and cultivation of national and international partnerships, and the conception and implementation of hospitality and event formats beyond the festival itself.

As part of this personnel change, Marco Misuraca, previously Operations Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG, is leaving the Zurich Film Festival. Alessandro Monsurrò, who had temporarily served as Managing Director at Spoundation Motion Picture AG, will now fully refocus on his role as Head of Marketing & Brand.
Christian Jungen, CEO of the ZFF, says: “Mehmet Inan knows the Zurich Film Festival and the advertising market very well. With his experience in brand management, he will support us in attracting new partners and further strengthening the ZFF brand in the digital space. His appointment is an important step on our path to establishing the ZFF as Switzerland’s leading cultural and social event.”
Mehmet Inan adds: “The Zurich Film Festival stands for great stories, international reach, and emotional experiences. Film connects people, cultures, and perspectives—and that is exactly what my heart beats for. I am very much looking forward to further developing this special platform together with the entire team starting in March. ’Cause life is better with movies!”
With Mehmet Inan joining the executive management team, the Zurich Film Festival is strengthening its commercial and strategic leadership and consistently focusing on the connection between film culture and sustainable partnership development.
