Joy was written all over Alicia Vikander's face: After seven years since her last visit to ZFF, she was delighted to be back. After walking down the green carpet on Sechseläutenplatz and being greeted by fans, photographers and the ZFF team, the Swedish Oscar winner made her way to the Kongresshaus. There, ZFF's artistic director gave her a laudatory speech and presented her with the Golden Eye Award. She opened her heartwarming acceptance speech with the words 'I love making films'. And you can see that in Vikander - also in her latest film THE ASSESSMENT, which she presented that evening.
About society's obsession with optimisation
Alicia Vikander and the director of her new film THE ASSESSMENT, Fleur Fortuné, have clearly grown fond of each other while working on the film and are now proud to present the dystopian science fiction film. The film is set in a future world devastated by climate change, where society strives for perfection. As a result, couples who want to have children must undergo a government-mandated aptitude test. Botanist Mia and scientist Aaryan are assigned an assessor, Virginia (Alicia Vikander), who lives with them for a week - and throws their relationship into turmoil with her uncomfortable questions. The film is expected to be released in the spring.
