    Double Victory for Switzerland in ZFF 72 Contest – Jury Award to HYPERHYDROSE from Marco von Moos and Viewers Award to ISRA’S TRÄNEN from Tim Vogt

    Swiss entries scooped both prizes at the third ZFF 72 contest this year. The Jury Award endowed with a CHF 5'000 cash prize goes to HYPERHYDROSE from Marco von Moos. The Viewers Award endowed with a CHF 4'000 cash prize goes to Tim Vogt’s entry ISRA’S TRÄNEN.

    Second Filmmaker Award to Germinal Roaux and Sophie Huber

    U.S. actress Uma Thurman presented the second Filmmaker Award to Lausanne-born Germinal Roaux and Berne-born Sophie Huber on Saturday evening during IWC’s ‚For the Love of Cinema’ Gala Dinner. Germinal Roaux received CHF 75'000 for his feature film project FORTUNA, and Sophie Huber received CHF 25'000 for her documentary film project DAS BLUE NOTE PROJEKT.

    5th International Film Music Competition - Golden Eye to Spanish Composer Javier Bayon

    The Spanish composer Javier Bayon is the winner of the 5th International Film Music Competition, which took place within the framework of the 12th Zurich Film Festival at the Tonhalle Zürich on Friday evening. Bayon was crowned winner of the Golden Eye for ‚Best International Film Music 2016’, an award endowed with a CHF 10’000 cash prize.

    Uma Thurman as Honorary Guest at ZFF Special Screening of KILL BILL: Vol. 1 – Presentation of Filmmaker Award

    Actress Uma Thurman will visit the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday 24.09.16 to present at the Arena Cinemas Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic KILL BILL: VOL. 1, a film in which she plays the lead role. She will remain to discuss her work and films following the screening. Thurman will also present the CHF 100’000 Filmmaker Award during the grand IWC Gala on Saturday evening.
