    US Film Producer Harvey Weinstein Cancels Visit to ZFF

    US film producer Harvey Weinstein has had to cancel his visit to the Zurich Film Festival at the last minute because of a production emergency. His Masters session, due to take place at 15:30 tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Filmpodium, has been cancelled. Tickets already purchased for the Masters session will be reimbursed.     First 'Filmmaker Award' to Michael Steiner and Jan Gassmann

    Oscar winner Christoph Waltz presented the first-ever 'Filmmaker Award' on Saturday Evening to the two Swiss directors Michael Steiner and Jan Gassmann. Michael Steiner’s project UND MORGEN SEID IHR TOT received CHF 75'000 and Jan Gassmann’s project EUROPE, SHE LOVES received CHF 25'000. The two winners were chosen from a total of four nominated projects.

    4th International Film Music Competition - Golden Eye for German composer Faris Badarni

    Faris Badarni is the winning composer of this year’s 4th International Music Festival, which took place within the framework of the Zurich Film Festival at Arena Cinemas Sihlcity on Friday evening. Badarni takes home the Golden Eye for ‘Best International Film Music 2015’, which is endowed with a 10’000 Swiss franc cash prize.
