Yves Saint-Laurent - l'amour fou

Pierre Thoretton

Pierre Bergé is the man who did the tireless groundwork for Yves Saint-Laurent and together they revolutionised the fashion world. They met in 1958 through Christian Dior and formed both a business and private partnership. Bergé tells of his fifty-year long relationship, characterised not only by enormous professional success but also by painful private experiences. The Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh, the Norman-style Château Gabriel and their art collection, amassed with a passion over the years by the two of them, were the fruits of their never-ending search for beauty. In 2008, after the death of Yves, Pierre made the decision to sell the art collection at an “auction of the century”. An intimate portrait of an emotional and moving love.
