Winterschläfer

Tom Tykwer|Drama

In a small snowy town in the Bavarian Alps, between Christmas and New Year, the paths of two thirtysomething couples cross. While one pair becomes closer, the other pair drifts apart. The following days are overshadowed by an accident – and the ensuing deadly search. This portrait of a generation filled with angst tackles the disorientating effect of radical individualism. Tykwer’s second directorial effort is a strong narrative force.
