Where'd You Go, Bernadette

Richard Linklater|Tragikomödie

Bernadette Fox, once an ingenious architect, now a wife and mother, ever the eccentric, is fed up with her sluggish life in Seattle. She wants nothing to do with the daily trivialities that other parents, neighbours and acquaintances deal with on a daily basis. Her husband, who is employed by a large tech company, is no longer inspiring to her while her beloved teenage daughter Bee, who has inherited her genius, is busy doing her own stuff. Bernadette knows that in order to overcome her ever-increasing obnoxiousness she has to redirect her life. And one day, she just disappears – through the window. BOYHOOD director Richard Linklater allows his leading actress, ZFF's Golden Icon Award winner Cate Blanchett, to shine in the role of a privileged but unfortunate narcissist in his adaptation of Maria Semple’s eponymous novel.
