by Lisa Brühlmann
15-year-old Valeska goes on holiday to Crete with her mother Monica (Lisa Brühlmann). Joining them are Monica's new boyfriend Jaques (Carlos Leal) and his daughter Lena, with whom Valeska initially has nothing in common. However, as the two girls start to bond, tensions rise among the adults. Seven years after winning the Golden Eye for BLUE MY MIND, Lisa Brühlmann returns to the ZFF with this touching coming-of-age drama about the joys and pitfalls of a patchwork family. 'As the director, Lisa Brühlmann masterfully insets the stage for herself as an actress. Without fearing the abyss, she lets her on-screen daughters shine. Just as she did in her debut, she launches the careers of two new talents.' – Reta Guetg
