In the 19th century, the West African kingdom of Dahomey is threatened by European colonialists. To protect the population, the militant female general Nanisca leads the Agojie, an all-female military regiment of fearless warriors, onto the battlefield. Their mission: To defeat the European aggressors who want to conquer and enslave their country, and to defend the honour of their kingdom.
