Civilisation as we know it no longer exists. Nothing moves, infrastructures have been destroyed and a cloud of ash blocks the sun. A father and son make their way through a devastated America; their mother gave up hope some time ago. With only the clothes they’re wearing and the wish for a better life, the two head for the coast – unaware of what they will find there. Their daily lives are dominated by fear and despair as they search for shelter, food and water. There could be other survivors, lurking and waiting to take their possessions – or even their lives. They are left with nothing but their unconditional bond and their will to remain human. Within this wasteland full of cannibalistic violence, a father employs every last shred of strength to preserve the remainder of his son’s life’s spirit.
