During his promotional tour for the book, over a period of five days, he was accompanied by Rolling Stone journalist David Lipsky. The result was a series of ingeniously sensitive interview discussions on such topics as pop culture, depression, dog ownership and the pros and cons of fame. THE END OF THE TOUR is based on Lipsky’s memoirs published in 2010, two years after Wallace committed suicide, which highlight this unique road trip.
