The Ape Star / Apstjärnan

Having spent her whole life living in an orphanage, Jonna wants nothing more than to be adopted. But when her big dream finally comes true one day, and her new mother drives up, she can hardly believe her eyes: instead of a human being, a gorilla in pink pants gets out of the car. At first, Jonna is frightened by the tall animal, but when she gets to her new home, she soon realises how strongly the two are united by their differences. Following her debut success with GORDON & PADDY, director Linda Hambäck returns to the ZFF with an affectionately animated tale about an unconventional relationship between two outsiders.
