A young Journalist leaves her home country, Moldova, to distance herself from her father, who is responsible for abuse and trauma in her early life. When she later returns to confront him about his behavior, she discovers that her father was also being abused. By his employer in Italy. The journalist's ensuing research shows how patterns of behavior, such as emotional coercion or domestic violence, are often passed on from generation to generation. 'A stirring, honest but also hopeful examination of family structures in rural Moldavia. After ACASA, MY HOME, Lina Vdovîi & Radu Ciorniciuc also impress with great documentary filmmaking!' – Anja Fröhner
