Wheelchair-bound, divorced pensioner Cheong-wing is looking for a new caregiver since all the previous ones are immediately scorned by all the previous ones because by his belligerent manner. Former Nurse Evelyn travels to Hong Kong from the Philippines to take on the job. However, she does not speak a word Cantonese. So, fortunately, Evelyn hardly understands a word of Cheong-wing’s nagging, and treats him as she would anyone else: like a human being. With a lot of patience and a translator app, the two slowly begin to realise that they can learn more from each other than they ever expected. This multi-award-winning, heart-warming drama tells the story of an unusual friendship, while at the same time addressing the precarious conditions of Filipino guest workers in Hong Kong.
