Hollywood, 1968. The celebrated A BOUT DE SOUFFLE star and global style icon, American actress Jean Seberg returns from Paris to the States in search of a new challenge. Soon, she embarks on an affair with the well-known civil rights activist Hakim Jamalshe and finds herself as an activist with the Black Panther movement. This leads to her appearance on the radar of an illegal FBI surveillance programme, with which the political movement is resolutely fought. Ambitious young agent Jack Solomon is given the task of penetrating deeper into Jean’s private life. But the more he immerses himself in her life, the more he empathizes with this woman whose privacy is slowly being destroyed.
