Two lives in the fast lane. In the mid-70s, British racing driver James Hunt and Austrian Niki Lauda began a fierce duel that would be fought on the Formula 1 circuits of the world. This breathtaking and life-threatening contest was also a clash of two opposing philosophies and stereotypes, both on and off the track: On the one hand is the highly talented yet equally hedonistic English playboy Hunt, who falls head over heals for super model Suzy Miller. On the other hand is the disciplined and solitary strategist Lauda, who exasperates both his colleagues and his wife with his perfectionism and huge ambition. Director Ron Howard has created an historically accurate yet highly entertaining biopic about two racing drivers and the golden age of Formula 1.
