She takes care of her little brother Marc and enjoys a close relationship with her father Christian. Diane, however, doesn’t really have any school friends. At 14 she is a somewhat reclusive, reticent girl. Secretly though, this shy teenager, desperate to leave her childhood behind, spends her nights dreaming of her very first love affair. When Julia, a charismatic and permissive English girl moves into the area, Diane realises immediately that the time has finally come to break out of her sheltered life. Together, the two set off in search of their first experiences with alcohol and love and care as much about the consequences of what they get into as they do their boundaries.
