by Gabe Klinger
The two misfits Jake (American) and Mati (French) drift through life in the harbour town of Porto. Their paths having crossed once, resulting in a brief affair, all that remains now are vague memories of an intense encounter, wading through the streets together, free-floating discussions and a short-lived window of happiness. With its atmospheric jazz soundtrack, director Gabe Klinger’s debut offers insight into a mysterious love story from the perspective of Jake, Mati and the unanimous view. Co-produced by Jim Jarmusch, the film is the last opportunity to catch the much-acclaimed, highly talented actor Anton Yelchin, who died far too young.
