Nomadland

After the economic crisis has hit an industrial town in Nevada, Fern packs her belongings into a van and sets off for a new life as a modern nomad. She begins to explore the West of the USA with its endless roads and infinite landscapes. On the way, she meets other odd and helpful outsiders who have also chosen to live a life beyond the norm. Director Chloé Zhao has been regarded as one of the most exciting new voices in American independent cinema since her neo-western THE RIDER. With images of beguiling beauty, NOMADLAND is a road movie that shows how the real riches of humankind are its fellow humans.
