With a cool apartment and well-paid job as a consultant, Michi is enjoying his life in Zurich. But a phone call changes everything. His father took his own life, leaving behind a heavily indebted farm. Together with his mother and two siblings, Michi must now decide on the future of the farm. The lucrative offer of the local mayor seems to come at just the right time. NEUMATT is about a family caught between urban and rural living, solidarity and self-determination. The ZFF shows the first two episodes of this new SRF production.
